Homeowners here live a healthy, active lifestyle, either teeing off on local fairways, walking the family dog, hiking on nearby trails, or snorkeling and surfing at pristine beaches just moments away from the house. Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping


At Ka Makana Ali’i Mall, between Ewa Beach and Kapolei, you’ll find big-name stores such as H&M and Macy’s, as well as a number of restaurants. There’s a large cinema here, as well. On Wednesdays and Sundays, shop at the Ka Makana Ali’i Famers Market, located at the shopping center. On Saturday mornings, join your neighbors at the
People’s Open Market at Kapolei Community Park to stock up on fresh produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, and more. Or check out the Thursday market at Kapolei High School. 
 
Ewa Beach’s Laulani Village is the largest retail center in the community and offers a number of grocery stores, service providers, convenience shops, restaurants, and national-brand stores. And if you can’t find it there, you can head to the Kapolei Village Center, Kapolei Shopping Center, or Kapolei Commons
 
The dining scene is on the rise in Ewa Beach. Locals know that the best breakfast and lunch around are at Kountry Style Kitchen Restaurant, a convivial spot known for its large portions of local dishes - try the adobo fried rice omelet and the macadamia-nut pancakes. The always popular Rainbow Drive-In has a fantastic mixed plate with BBQ beef, boneless chicken, and mahi-mahi. Meanwhile, The Raft Neighborhood Kitchen at The Ewa Villages Golf Course not only boasts a great view but some of the best poke fries and garlic chicken around. 
 
In Kapolei, choose from authentic Thai, Lao, and Vietnamese dishes at Thai Loa Restaurant, romantic dining on Italian favorites at Assaggio Kapolei, and innovative Pacific Northwest flavors at Sprig’s Grill, including Carlton Farms pork and Monterey Bay calamari. 
 

Things to Do 

 

Kapolei and Ewa Beach residents are an active bunch, enjoying the dry weather and abundant sunshine of Oahu’s west side. Head to White Plains Beach for a friends-and-family get-together - the beach gets bonus points for its incredible view of the coastline all the way to Diamond Head. Ewa Beach and adjacent Oneula Beach Park are also fantastic swimming beaches, as well as superb spots for learning to surf. 
 
At Ko Olina, you can visit four jewel-like lagoons connected by seaside pathways. Public access is available from sunrise to sunset. Golf is the game in these parts. Choose from more than a half-dozen courses, including the Hawaii Prince Golf Club, the award-winning Ewa Beach Golf Club, or Hoakalei Country Club. Hop aboard the Hawaiian Railway Society’s Ewa Beach to Kahe Point round-trip route to learn about the area’s sugar industry history.
