If you know Oahu, you know that Hawaii Kai is one of the most popular sought-after neighborhoods on the East side of the Island. With Kokohead as one of its famous landmarks, as well as Maunalua Bay, Sandy Beach, and countless beautiful vistas, including a marina — many residents would love to own a home here. Besides its beauty, Hawaii Kai is a vibrant, pet-friendly community ideal for raising a family and is just minutes from the main corridor of Honolulu.

Hale Ka Lae started off as a rental housing project called 7000 Hawaii Kai Drive-by Avalon Development a couple of years ago. Due to rising interest rates and costs, a decision was made to convert the main front building consisting of 213 units to individually owned condos. The second building above the parking structure with 56 units will remain a rental building. The condo conversion is progressing well, and buyers have started entering into the contract signing.

I’m currently assisting a lovely couple through the purchase process for a two-bedroom condo that has beautiful views of Kokohead and the Hawaii Kai neighborhood, and they are very excited! Tenants who were renting were given the first option to buy their units, and the remaining units are now for sale to all interested buyers.
